Residential Facilities
Sterling manages a large number of residential assisted living facilities for persons with developmental and intellectual disabilities. These facilities are located throughout Northeast Alabama and owned by different corporations whose missions are to provide healthcare and management services to these individuals.
Education and Training
Sterling manages programs and facilities for and on behalf of Summit Education and Training Centers. Summit operates day habilitation facilities for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. These facilities are located in Etowah County and Cherokee County.
Utilizing a team of multi-disciplinary professionals, participants are given instructions and activities to enhance their skills with daily living tasks.
Transportation and meals are provided for the program, which operates five hours daily Monday - Friday.

This program in Gadsden, Alabama is designed for persons who need a wide variety of job training and service related options including: work readiness programs, training on specific job tasks, and specific employment opportunities as well as supported employment and job coaching.
Personal Care
Our compassionate caregivers provide personalized assistance to help individuals maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life. Services are tailored to each person's unique needs and may include assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, personal hygiene, mobility, toileting, meal preparation, medication reminders, and other daily living activities. Our goal is to provide safe, respectful, and dependable support while promoting independence in the least restrictive environment.
